Warner Bros. releases new Batman: Arkham Origins screenshots; confirms Geoff Johns as writer

We’ve a flurry of news surrounding Batman: Arkham Origins today after Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released five new screenshots and confirmed that Geoff John’s will be penning the game’s script.

Taking the reins from Paul Dini, DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns has been confirmed as Batman: Arkham Origins‘ writer. A DC powerhouse, Johns is currently writing a ton of New 52 comics, was responsible for the resurrections of both Barry Allen as Flash and (a not insane, Parallax-y) Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. Johns is no stranger to video games either, as he wrote the script for Sony’s MMO DC Universe Online.

Additionally, WB also sent through the following Arkham Origins screenshots, featuring a young Batman, Deathstroke and Black Mask:

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC from 25 October 2013.
