Until Dawn 2 has been announced at Sony’s State of Play, planned for a 2027 release date.
“Ready to die for likes? Join a team of ambitious ghost hunters as they chase their next viral hit on a remote island haunted by a woman’s chilling story of something far darker than they bargained for,” reads a description attached to the game’s announcement trailer.
“When the tale begins to manifest in terrifying ways, survival will take more than a strong signal to get off the island alive. Their lives are in your hands. Make every choice count.”
It won’t be original developer Supermassive behind the sequel — Until Dawn 2 will be developed by Icebreak Games. The studio has promised more ahead of the game’s 2027 reveal.
A new cast will feature in the game, but Icebreak has confirmed that Peter Stormare will reprise his role as Dr Hill.
Expect Until Dawn 2 on PS5 in 2027.
