Ubisoft’s Tommy Francois departs after allegations of sexual misconduct

Ubisoft Executive Tommy Francois has left the company in the midst of allegations of sexual misconduct.

Speaking with IGN, Ubisoft has confirmed that “Tommy François has left the company, effective immediately,” while Business Insider reports that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told employees of Francois’ departure last week.

Francois was reportedly suspended in late June — at the same time as fellow VP Maxime Beland. Beland resigned from his position back in early July.

In addition to Francois, Ubisoft has seen the resignations or departures of Yannis Mallat (Managing Director of Ubisoft’s Canada-based studios), Serge Hascoët (Chief Creative Officer), and Cécile Cornet (Global head of HR) in addition to Maxime Beland, a Ubisoft VP of Editorial, and Ashraf Ismail, Creative Director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. All departures were in the aftermath of allegations of sexual misconduct.
