System Shock remake gets March 2023 release window

Get hype!

The System Shock remake has set a March 2023 release window, developer Nightdive Studios and publisher Prime Matter have recently declared.

“As some of you have already pointed out this is not our first time announcing a tentative launch window, but over the past few years much has changed – the scope and scale of the project has evolved dramatically and with Prime Matter joining the project it’s enabled us to focus on quality-of-life improvements, bug fixing, and localization support – the last major steps towards releasing a game we’re all incredibly proud of,” Nightdive said in a recent update.

“This has also given us time to go back and polish various aspects of the game that needed that extra shine.”

Fans on the game’s Kickstarter page seem somewhat cautious of the release window.

“Man… There’s some red flags in those clips. All that talk of polishing, and yet…,” wrote one user.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand jump to March when the game doesn’t get released and NDS claim there was ‘confusion over the release date’,” reads another.

We’ll keep you posted on System Shock‘s status. Expect the title in March 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5.
