Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has the most playable characters in the series’ history — an impressive 74 fighters — and it won’t take long to unlock them all.
Out of the box, only a selection of fighters will be available. But according to a Nintendo spokesperson speaking to NintendoLife, it will only take “a couple of hours” to be able to access all 74. Each fighter will have different requirements to be unlocked, but we don’t yet know what those are.
In other numerical Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tidbits, we have learnt there will be at least 700 Spirits to collect; there will also be eight rounds in the newly detailed Classic Mode, followed by a boss battle and a platforming stage.
Nintendo confirmed there are over 700 spirits in Smash Ultimate. It's unknown how many will have Spirit Event Matches attached to them, but it is a lot.
