Street Fighter 6 closed beta coming 7 October

And with a variety of modes!

Street Fighter 6 closed beta was confirmed for 7-10 October, and includes a number of modes and fighters.

A total of 8 fighters will be accessible during the test, including the newly confirmed Ken. Other playable closed beta characters include Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Guile, Kimberly, and Juri. Newly confirmed fighters that’ll be in the main game, but not the beta, include series mainstays Blanka, Dhalsim and E. Honda.

Back to the beta, it’ll take place on — and provide cross-play between — Xbox Series S & X, PS5 and PC via Steam. You can head here to register for a chance to play.

Modes as part of the beta include Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode.

Extreme Battle mode is new, described by Capcom as a a mode that offers “a new way to spice up matches with unconventional parameters. These fast and frantic battles are defined by new Rules and Gimmicks that make every match an experience anyone can enjoy. Rules define the victory condition for players, while Gimmicks add a new level of fun such as a stampeding bull sporadically interrupting a match.”

Street Fighter 6 heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2023.
