Star Trek Online adds Picard’s Duderstadt-class as Lock Box

Like the ship? You'll need to gamble for it!

Star Trek Online has added Star Trek Picard‘s Duderstadt-class as its latest gambling-fuelled Lock Box, Perfect World has recently announced.

The ship is one possible item that will be unlocked for players as part of the new Last Generation Lock Box.

“The Last Generation Lock Box will bring Star Trek Picard’s third season into Star Trek Online,” Perfect World said. “With so many memorable items from the crew of the Enterprise-D’s last stand, the Lobi Consortium has made sure that there’s something for everyone.”

The Duderstadt-class was featured in Picard in the form of the U.S.S. Intrepid, which — spoilers — carried a bunch of Changeling operatives alongside Ro Laren. It’s got a rather distinctive shape, as you can see at top (in-game) and directly above (concept art).

The Duderstadt is a T6 Miracle Worker Science Spearhead and described by Perfect World as “the grand prize of the Last Generation Lock Box”. It joins the likes of Star Trek Prodigy‘s U.S.S. Protostar and Picard‘s U.S.S. Enterprise-G as ships locked behind paid chance Lock Boxes.

Other potential items in the Lock Box include the Athan Prime Fleet Museum Beacon Universal Console, two new Kit Modules, three new Training Manuals, two new Starship Traits, new Radiolytic Phasers, and new 2399 Starfleet handheld phasers, and more.

Finally, Picard‘s Starfleet 2401 uniforms will come to Star Trek Online in the form of a Lobi Store transaction; each purchase unlocks the uniforms for a single character.

Star Trek Online today launched its Both Worlds expansion, a 14th anniversary celebration for the long-running title. The expansion is currently available on Windows PC, and will follow on Xbox One and PS4.
