Square Enix has “no plans” for Final Fantasy 7 Remake outside PS4

Square Enix has responded to the potential news that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is heading to Xbox One after a strange post by Xbox Germany earlier in the week.

If you missed it, Xbox Germany briefly posted a video to Twitter proclaiming that the highly anticipated game would be available on Xbox One at the same time as it would launch on PS4: 3 March 2020.

Speaking with IGN, Square Enix said, “As previously announced, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 3rd 2020. We have no plans for other platforms.”

Curiouser and curiouser, eh?

We’ll have more on Final Fantasy 7 Remake‘s availability — timed exclusive, full exclusive or whatever — as news becomes available.

For now, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been confirmed for release on PS4 from 3 March 2020.
