Sony’s Gamescom press conference reveals four all-new titles

Man. Maybe Stevivor.com should have gone to Gamescom instead of E3, eh? We’ve seen a wealth of new IP being dropped on us at Gamescom, and Sony’s press conference was no different. Alongside further news on upcoming games like Ratchet & Clank: QForce, Sony revealed four new titles — Tearaway, Puppeteer, Until Dawn and Rain.

LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule is hard at work on their next title, Tearaway, for the PS Vita. With an art style similar to LittleBigPlanet, Sony describes the game as follows:

Adventure through a vibrant papery world with your new friend iota, a plucky messenger with a unique message to deliver—to you!

This paper world is small enough to hold in your own two hands, allowing you to reach into the game with your god-like powers and help iota complete this very special delivery.

Puppeteer, from Studio Japan, is set in “the theater of the strange and fantastic” and wants to “awaken the imagination of all children” using your PS3. Rather than progressing through a level, the level moves itself; you’re constantly on the same (literal) stage taking part in the action.

Studio Japan is also responsible for Rain, pictured above, a PlayStation Network downloadable title that looks astounding. Much like the upcoming Unfinished Swan, there’s an emphasis in what you can’t see in the game: you play as an invisible boy who is only able to been seen in the rain.

Last, Until Dawn seeks to “bring the best of a teen horror film to PlayStation Move.”
