Sony shutting down Playstation Mobile

Playstation Mobile, the PS Vita and Playstation TV app service, will be shut down 10 September, with the storefront no longer accessible from 15 July. A lack of interest is cited as the reason for the closure.

For continued access to previously purchased Playstation Mobile content you will need to active Playstation Mobile through the Vita settings menu then download and open any content you want to keep.

New titles for Playstation Mobile dried up in 2013, so the shutdown is hardly a surprise but it is a shame to see a reasonably accessible path for independent development on the major platforms shut down.
