Sony is out for blood, literally, with Bloodborne

Dualshockers have found a rather unique promotion Sony is running for Bloodborne in Denmark. In an effort to alleviate a shortage of male blood donors, Danish blood bank GivBlod is offering a free copy of Bloodborne (or another PS4 game should that not tickle your fancy) to anybody who gives blood on 23 March.

A good cause undoubtedly, but I can’t help but remember the glorious days of Acclaim and their publicity stunts. Naming your child Turok, paying off speeding fines on Burnout release day, advertising on tombstones. We don’t see much of that kind of stupid anymore, and probably for the better. Giving blood for free games may be unorthodox, but it is a far better way to promote a game in a unique way than desecrating graves.
