Sony emphasises the power of the Favourite Groups function feature in update 3.00

In the comments of a PlayStation Blog post dedicated to the PS4’s update 3.00, SCEA PR Manager Andrew Kelly emphasised how useful and powerful the Favourite Groups function of the update is and will be.

Kelly revealed that anyone can be added to your groups, even players who aren’t on your friends list. “[Y]ou can add anyone you want to a Favorite Group. For me, it will be lots of Destiny groups – my Prison Of Elders crew, Vault of Glass crew, etc. Communities is like a big hub where you can discover players around shared interests, regardless of whether you are friends with them or not. Great way to meet new players!”

Those players in the beta testing group for PS4 updates should receive there invitation today or tomorrow, according to Kelly.

PS4 update 3.00 is currently in beta and adds a range of new features including tweeting 10-second gameplay clips, livestreaming to YouTube, increasing online storage to 10GB and more.
