Second Extinction PC beta allowing for sign ups now

Second Extinction PC beta will be offered to keen players, with sign ups being taken right now.

Second Extinction is the first game from Avalanche Studios Group’s Systemic Reaction. First announced during the Inside Xbox’s latest third-party Xbox Series X gameplay reveal, the title will head to Windows PC, Xbox One and Microsoft’s next-gen console at some point. At this stage, only a PC beta has been announced.

In the game, you and a team of up to two friends will roam a world shared with the dinosaurs.

“Teamwork is vital as you adopt the role of one of the survivors, using a unique combination of weapons, abilities and skills to take on the vast number of enemies,” Systemic Reaction said. “Fight through a maelstrom of bullets, bombs, teeth, claws and gore, it’s up to you to reclaim Earth.”

If that sounds like your type of game, you can head here to sign up for the War Support forums; you’ll need to recruit one other friend to secure beta access. Subsequent extra friends will continue to unlock in-game goodies such as a nameplate (three friends), weapon skin (five friends) and in-game emote (seven friends).

Second Extinction heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X at a time that has yet to be disclosed; we’ll keep you informed as we learn more. The title has been confirmed for Smart Delivery across Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
