Sea of Thieves closed beta had over 332,000 players

Rare and Microsoft recently revealed statistics from Sea of Thieves recent closed beta.

Over 332,000 players took part in the closed beta, amassing more than 2,000,000 hours on the sea. Crazy, right?

Moreover, an average of 104,240 viewers were watching others in the closed beta, with streams from more than 25,000 pirates to choose from. Collectively, we all watched 14.5 million cumulative hours of Sea of Thieves, making the title the number one to watch on both Twitch and Mixer.

Sea of Thieves heads to both Windows PC and Xbox One on 20 March. An Xbox Play Anywhere title, Sea of Thieves heads to the Xbox Game Pass program at launch.
