Scott Pilgrim anime series heading to Netflix

We are Sex Bob-Omb!

Scott Pilgrim anime series is heading to Netflix, produced by it an UCP, the division of Universal Studio Group that’s brought us titles like Chucky and The Umbrella Academy.

Scott Pilgrim creator and artist Bryan Lee O’Malley will write and executive produce alongside BenDavid Grabinski, the showrunner behind the Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival, The Hollywood Reporter has divulged.

Science SARU will provide the animation on the series, with Eunyoung Choi producing and Abel Gongora directing.

O’Malley’s original Scott Pilgrim comic was a six-volume work that spawned a feature film titled Scott Pilgrim vs the World; a video game tie-in was also produced.
