Halo Infinite multiplayer launch reportedly pushed later into November

The plot thickens.

Rumors of a Halo Infinite surprise multiplayer launch tomorrow, 16 November, are being quashed by the very same people who originally reported upon them.

Influencer NatetheHate2, who first took to Twitter saying he could “independently confirm & share” a multiplayer release timed for Xbox’s 20th anniversary livestream that same day, has now backtracked on his statement.

“An 11th hour change has claimed the early rollout of Halo Infinite multiplayer,” he writes. “Original plans were to have Halo Infinite Multiplayer available on Monday, Nov. 15; but, a delay will push it back a tad bit — still planned for November.”

Moreover, savvy users noticed that a Pringles website featured a countdown that would end on 16 November; that countdown has since been removed.

Microsoft hasn’t made comment on the rumours, but one thing’s for sure — we’ll find out either way during the special Xbox and Halo 20th anniversary broadcast planned for 5.00 am AEDT tomorrow.

Halo Infinites single-player heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X from 8 December, also part of Xbox Game Pass.
