A report on Blastr — as spotted by the eagle eyes at AusGamers — reveals that Disney and Lucasfilm have been on a domain name registration frenzy. Could this mean a new Star Wars video game is on the way.
Last week the companies registered a range of domain names all based around variations of the phrases “Star Wars Attack Squadrons“, “Star Wars Attack Squads” and “Star Wars Squads.” While the names in and of themselves don’t give much away, Blastr notes, “the last time we saw a mysterious slew of domain-name purchases from Lucasfilm, it turned out to be a videogame project, and that’s definitely a possibility now with Electronic Arts taking over new Star Wars game production.”
The domain names could also relate to a new film, TV show or even a Disney theme park attraction. For now we’ll just let our imagination run wild with all the delicious possibilities.
