It's not a lake... it's Alan Wake Flashback.
Fortnite players have the chance to relive the events of Remedy’s original Alan Wake ahead of the launch of Alan Wake 2 later this month.
Titled Alan Wake Flashback, the experience runs about twenty minutes, and is accessible through Island Code 3426-5561-3374.
“Alan Wake Flashback reimagines Remedy Entertainment’s iconic story in Fortnite,” reads a press release. “Troubled author Alan Wake embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice. Following her mysterious disappearance from the Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, he discovers pages of a horror story he has supposedly written, but has no memory of.”
Flashback is a collaboration between Remedy Entertainment, Spiral House and Zen Creative.
Moreover, those that have pre-ordered Alan Wake 2 will receive Wake-themed cosmetic items within Fortnite.
Fortnite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch. It’s also available on iOS, Android and PC via cloud-based streaming.
