The PS5 will officially launch in China later this year, Sony has confirmed.
The news comes by way of Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, who repoted the information via a video chared by SIE Shanghai in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

While the PS5 can already be imported into China, this news means the console will be available natively within the country. That’s expected around May or June of 2021. The official launch of the PS5 in China will mean it will also access its own PlayStation Network, separate from the one used by the rest of the world. As is the case in the region, only titles approved by the Chinese regulatory board will be allowed on the platform.
The PS5 is currently available… provided you can actually fine one at retail, that is.
