PS5 1440p, folder support rolls out globally

Rejoice!

PS5 1440p support is now available to PlayStation owners around the world.

First promised back in July of this year, the PS5 has been updated to display in 1440p rather than 1080p or 4K, perfect for users who’ve got the console connected to a gaming monitor.

The 1440p support works in both 60Hz and 120Hz modes; you can test your compatibility with a “Test 1440p Output” option on the console after the update has been installed.

The update also provides access to folders so you can better organise your games and apps. As we stated a couple months back, users will be able create up to 15 gamelists — aka folders — via the Your Collection tab; 100 games can be inside each gamelist.

Are you excited for this new PS5 update? Why or why not?
