Play Melbourne’s Global Game Jam games tomorrow

Melburnians will have the chance to play through some of Melbourne’s Global Game Jam games tomorrow, 18 February, at the South Melbourne Town Hall.

Some of the recently Global Game Jam’s 52 games will be playable at the event, which takes place between 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm AEDT at the Town Hall. This year’s games were created around the international theme of “repair”.

“After such a playful and successful game jam, we’re looking forward to sharing the creations with everyone. With mobile, PC and VR games available to play and their proud creators on hand to tell you about how it was made, there’s bound to be something for everyone. We’ve never had such an amazing space to demo before, and everyone’s looking forward to getting the jam back together to share their games with you,” said Giselle Rosman, Melbourne Global Game Jam Site Director and ANZ Regional Organiser.

“This is a community friendly, all ages event free to the public. For anyone interested in science, technology and the arts, it’s a great way to meet game professionals and creators and celebrate the diversity of games as an art form,” added Kim Edwards, Head of Game Design at JMC Academy (Melbourne), the facility that hosted this year’s Melbourne Global Game Jam.

Are you planning on heading over to give the games a go?
