Play Battleborn’s beta first on PS4 in 2016

At Paris Games Week 2K and Gearbox announced today the an open beta for upcoming MOBA Battleborn will launch in 2016 and will come first to PlayStation 4.

2K and Gearbox also released a new trailer for Battleborn which shows the three competitive modes included in the title; Capture, Meltdown and Incursion. Battleborn’s multiplayer is a 10 player, 5v5 affair.

In Capture, players must capture and hold objectives while Meltdown sees players having to guide their minion to a incinerator with points scored for every minion who throws themselves in and finally Incursion sees players defending their base from waves of AI controlled enemies while attempting to destroy the opposing team’s base.

A smaller closed beta will begin at 4am AEDT, Friday 30 October across all three platforms and will include Meltdown and a story mission titled The Algorithm. 15 of the title’s 25 total character’s will be available in the closed beta. To RSVP for the closed beta head to the official website.

Battleborn will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One from 9 February 2016. We’ll bring you more details of the open beta as we have them.
