PGA Tour 2K23 servers to close in March 2027

Here for a good time, not a long time...

PGA Tour 2K23 servers will go offline on 12 March 2027, 2K has today announced.

PGA TOUR 2K23 has been removed from digital storefronts, and we are now in the process of gradually sunsetting the game to focus our efforts and resources on other projects,” 2K said in an email sent today.

“If you own the game on Steam, you will no longer be able to purchase premium virtual currency (‘VC’) for use in the game. If you own the game on Xbox or PlayStation, after January 11, 2027 you will no longer be able to purchase premium virtual currency (‘VC’) for use in the game.”

Servers will be taken offline in March next year, at which point “the game’s stores, progression, rewards, and all other online game modes and functionality will no longer be available,” 2K summarised.

Offline modes including Local Match and the Training Centre will not be impacted by the server closure. PGA Tour 2K25 servers remain online.

“There’s no denying 2K23 is solid,” I said in my review of the golf title. “Small improvements to an existing formula mightn’t be looked highly upon in a yearly cycle, but PGA Tour 2K23 gets away with it because of its cadence.”

PGA Tour 2K23 is currently available on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5.
