The original Xbox’s startup background is now available as a dynamic background on both Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
It features a pulsating green orb surrounded by some ‘futuristic’ mesh (well, futuristic at the time at the original Xbox’s launch back in 2001).
To select it, head to Settings > General > Personalisation > My background > Dynamic backgrounds and then select the background titled The Original. Neato sounds not included.
The special dynamic background has seemingly been timed to coincide with Xbox’s 20th anniversary; Microsoft is celebrating its Achievement (pun intended) with a host of events and even some special sales.
