New screenshot from Kojima Productions’ OD sure looks a lot like PT…

... if going off a single screenshot says anything, that is.

Kojima Productions’ OD has received a single new screenshot, and said screen looks a lot like it was ripped straight out of Kojima’s cancelled entry in the Silent Hill series, PT.

PT, of course, stands for “Playable Teaser” and introduced us to a short, vertical slice of what Hideo Kojima was planning for Silent Hill — and with Norman Reedus before Death Stranding was a thing. As history tells us, Kojima and publisher Konami fell afoul of one another, and the project was cancelled, left to sit on those smart enough to download and retain the demo on PS4 (and not PS5).

Today, a new screenshot courtesy Entertainment Weekly shows a small taste of what to expect from OD, and it’s eerily reminiscent of PT. That said, a screenshot from House Flipper Remastered would be too — it’s a gaudy, yellow hallway with a TV in shot. Not much to go on.

Announced back in late 2023, OD is a collaboration between Microsoft, Kojima Productions and Get Out‘s Jordan Peele.

We were already getting PT vibes from the game last year; Kojima Productions helpfully provided this synopsis at the time of that feature: “Ten years since the [redacted] horror [redacted], ‘[redacted]’ the cursed [redacted] have once again [redacted] into the forbidden.”

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more of OD.
