Microsoft may introduce ad-supported Xbox Game Pass tier

Save a couple bucks and inject some ads into your life?

Microsoft is investigating and may introduce an ad-supported Xbox Game Pass tier, based off a Spanish survey.

The survey, first posted to ResetEra, asked respondents to “consider hypothetical subscriptions” including the ad-free tier.

Hypothetically priced at €3 per month, this potential new tier would restrict first-party Microsoft games for six months after their launch and would also run advertisements before a game in the Game Pass library could be played.

Another hypothetical tier would be priced at  €22 a month and offer Game Pass services to up to five users (much like the proposed Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family tier).

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more about these potential new Xbox Game Pass tiers.
