Microsoft making coding more approachable to kids by adding Minecraft

Following on from their Star Wars themed coding tutorials, Code.org has teamed with Microsoft to create a Minecraft themed coding tutorial. You can find the full details over at the Microsoft News Center.

The coding tutorial is designed for ages 6 and up, so it should be relatively simple to understand, but also hits a key Minecraft demographic. The campaign was created to support Hour of Code, a global event to increase participation in computer science held over the week 7-13 December. You can check out the tutorial over at code.org.

From Amiga to Xbox One, Doom to Destiny, Megazone to Stevivor, I've been gaming through it all and have the (mental) scars to prove it. I love local multiplayer, collecting ridiculous Dreamcast peripherals, and Rocket League.
