Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 promises “next generation” visuals

And it's delivering, if this trailer has anything to say for it.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was today announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase and promises “next generation” visuals and improvements.

“This brand-new simulator is designed to take advantage of the latest technologies in simulation, cloud, machine learning, graphics and gaming to create the most sophisticated, immersive and awe-inspiring flight simulator of all time,” Microsoft said of the sequel.

“To achieve this unprecedented level of accuracy, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is powered by the significantly evolved Asobo Studio engine,” Microsoft continued.

You can check out below — and frankly, it’s breathtaking (sorry Keanu).

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is planned for release on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Xbox Cloud Gaming in — you guessed it — 2024.
