Marvel, Disney date MCU Phase 4 movies through to mid-2022

Marvel and Disney have dated all Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase 4 movies from now up until mid-2022, though we don’t yet know what those films yet are.

The upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home officially closes out MCU Phase 3 in early July, and we’ll have to wait until then to find out the names of upcoming Marvel films as well as an overall plan from Marvel Studios itself. Until that time, we do know that we’ll see a Marvel movie release on the following dates:

  • 1 May 2020
  • 6 Nov 2020
  • 12 Feb 2021
  • 7 May 2021
  • 5 Nov 2021
  • 18 Feb 2022
  • 6 May 2022
  • 29 July 2022

That’s right — Marvel won’t release a film between July 2019 and May 2020. Crazy, eh?

Based on rumours and limited statements, we do expect films like Black Widow, The Eternals, Doctor Strange 2, Shang-ChiCaptain Marvel 2, Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to fall somewhere in — or after — the list above.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more of the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
