EA Access PS4 subscriptions kick off in July

Update: Aussie pricing has been confirmed at subscription $6.99 AUD for one month, or $39.99 AUD for a year.

Original story: EA Access PS4 subscriptions will be offered to players in July, EA today announced.

An exact release date in July hasn’t been detailed yet, but the move means those on PS4 will be able to pay a monthly subscription for access to games inside the EA Access Vault. If you’re unfamiliar with the idea, think of it as a smaller version of Xbox Game Pass, limited to EA’s own titles. Some of the titles inside the EA Access vault include Titanfall 2, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 1.

The subscription program will cost $4.99 USD per month of $29.99 USD per year, the same pricing as on Xbox One (but just in case, we’re awaiting Aussie pricing information).

“Our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose, and we’re happy to bring EA Access to PlayStation 4,” EA’s Matt Bilbey said.

We’ll keep you posted on an exact release date of the EA Access PS4 service.
