Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee dies at age 95

Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee has died at the age of 95.

Lee, Co-Creator of a number of Marvel Comics characters including Black Panther, Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four, was rushed to hospital from his Hollywood Hills, California home in the early morning. He sadly passed away while in attendance at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center shortly afterward.

Lee has reportedly suffered from illnesses like pneumonia over this last year.

“With a heavy heart, we share our deepest condolences with his daughter and brother, and we honor and remember the creator, voice and champion of Marvel Comics,” a post by the Walt Disney Company reads.

“Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created,” Disney Chairman and CEO, Bob Iger, added. “A super hero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain, and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart.”

Lee’s latest cameo was in digital format inside Spider-Man on PS4. We’ve included it below.

Our condolences go out to Lee’s family.
