Marathon free-to-play period extended by two days due to server downtime

Two more days to try out the extraction shooter.

The Marathon free-to-play week has been extended by two days as a result of downtime caused by server issues at the game’s Season 2 launch.

That means Aussies will have until 12 June to play the shooter for free, rather than until 10 June as originally planned.

“We are extending Marathon‘s Open Play Week until June 11 [in the USA],” reads an in-game message to players. “We know the downtime interrupted not jsut your runs but your plans, and we want to recognize that inconvenience.”

The message also came with 50 Silk, the in-game currency used to progress battle passes.

Marathon Season 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. We reviewed the game here.
