Lord of the Rings Gollum delayed likely into 2023

It all depends on what "by a few months" means.

The Lord of the Rings Gollum has been delayed out of September “by a few months,” likely into 2023.

“During the past several years, the team has been working hard to share our vision of a remarkable story, set in a breathtaking world, filled with magic and wonder,” reads a statement from Daedalic and NACON.

“We are dedicated to meeting our community’s expectations and uncovering the untold story of Gollum in a way that honors the vision of J.R.R. Tolkien,” it continued. “That being said, in order to deliver the best possible experience, we have decided to push the release of The Lord of the Rings Gollum by a few months. We’ll update with an exact timing in the near future.”

The title was planned for a September release on most platforms after previous delays; a Switch release would follow afterward.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.

The Lord of the Rings Gollum is planned for  Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
