The Last Guardian on PS5 has a framerate cap on digital, but not disc

The Last Guardian on PS5 has a framerate cap that’s been applied to its digital version but not its disc-based one, meaning you can play the game at 60FPS provided you have that all-important disc.

The Last Guardian‘s digital version was patched to apply a framerate cap of 30FPS, but NX Gamer reports that the disc-based version of the game can bypass that and use the power of the PS5 to essentially double the framerate up to 60FPS.

Sony has yet to comment on the matter — hopefully confirming the patch will be reversed for those of you who own the game digitally — and we’ll report back when more is known.

The PS5 heads to stores on 12 November. We reviewed The Last Guardian here.
