Apple detailed new iPhones overnight in the form of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. We’ve got Aussie details on all three handsets below.
iPhone XR
The iPhone XR is Apple’s budget-priced (ha!) handset, looking similar to the iPhone XS but in a slightly smaller form factor. While the iPhone XR has FaceID — as do Apple’s two other new handsets — it doesn’t offer True Touch technology.
The iPhone XR come in White, Black, Blue, Coral, Yellow and Red and is priced as follows:
- 64GB: $1229 AUD
- 128GB: $1299 AUD
- 256GB: $1479 AUD
iPhone XS
If you’re used to Apple’s old naming system, the iPhone XS is basically this year’s version of the iPhone X. Boasting a new A12 chip, the phone has a Super Retina, OLED display and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10. The phone is available in Space Gray, Silver and Gold and costs the following:
- 64GB: $1629 AUD
- 256GB: $1879 AUD
- 512GB: $2199 AUD
iPhone XS Max
The iPhone XS Max is basically the old iPhone Pluses of old, sporting the same features as the iPhone XS but in a larger form factor. It too comes in Space Gray, Silver and Gold. The XS Max costs the following:
- 64GB: $1799 AUD
- 256GB: $2049 AUD
- 512GB: $2369 AUD
All phones are available from 21 September and can be pre-ordered from tomorrow, 14 September. All phones will offer dual SIM support, but sadly, they’ll all require an adaptor to use headphones with a 3.5mm jack — and that adaptor is now sold separately. Thanks, Apple.
