For Honor goes free-to-play on PC, consoles this weekend

For Honor will go free-to-play on PC, Xbox One and PS4, Ubisoft today announced.

Players will be able to pre-load the game on all three platforms from 8 August (or 9 August in Australia); the actual trial runs from 10 August until 13 August (or 11-14 August in Australia).

Aussies on Xbox One and PS4 can begin at 6.00 am AEST on 11 August; those on PC get a headstart from 4.00 am AEST the same day.

The entirety of the game will be available during the trial, and any progressed achieved will carry over if a player decides to buy the main game. For Honor‘s standard and Gold editions will be on sale during the trial.

The only catch on console is that you’ll need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus to take part.

Here’s a map with all starting times for all regions:

For Honor will move into its third season after the trial, available from 15 August.
