Halo Master Chief Collection cross-play coming 2020

Halo Master Chief Collection cross-play is planned for a 2020 release across both Windows PC and Xbox One, 343 Industries has recently revealed.

The announcement comes at the same time the developer has confirmed it’s working to support mouse and keyboard input on Xbox One alongside input-based matchmaking when cross-play is live. That means cross-play will silo mouse & keyboard players and those using a controller, no matter the platform they’re on.

“Crossplay, Input Based MM, and Server Region Selection” will release together in one update, while “Custom Game Browser, Per Game Graphics Options, and M&K Support for Xbox” will release together in a separate update, 343 advised.

We’ll let you know when exact dates are set.

Halo The Master Chief Collection is currently available on Windows PC via Windows 10 & Steam alongside Xbox One.
