Halo Master Chief Collection adds FloodFight, campaign cross-play

Need a break from Infinite?

Halo The Master Chief Collection has added a mode called FloodFight to its offerings alongside campaign cross-play in both Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST.

First, FloodFight adds the notorious Flood into MCC‘s Halo 3 ODST Firefight mode. The Flood will be added alongside regular Covenant enemies and will feature new animations like the ability to control vehicles.

“Flood can now occupy vehicles for the first time since Halo 2 and players will encounter (and potentially commandeer) these across multiple Firefight missions,” 343 Industries advised. “Flood enemies now have a few new animations which allow them to pilot these vehicles, traverse the environment more effectively, and even wield support weapons like turrets.”

The Flood will even be able to pit your friends against you.

“Lastly, unlike the Master Chief, ODSTs can be infected and resurrected by the Flood. Beware, as you may have to fight your own resurrected allies—or even yourself,” 343 continued.

Finally, campaign cross-play support inside Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST was also added, letting friends on Xbox or PC play no matter which platform they’re on.

Halo The Master Chief Collection is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. It’s also part of Xbox Game Pass.
