Halo Infinite campaign Achievements not unlocking, cosmetics impacted by Quick Resume

Yikes!

Halo Infinite campaign Achievements aren’t unlocking for some players at the same time 343 Industries has confirmed that the Xbox’s Quick Resume feature has impacted the earning of cosmetic items.

First, the Halo Support Twitter account confirmed yesterday that players could have difficulty popping earned Achievements.

We’re investigating reports that some [Halo Infinite] Achievements are unlocking on a slight delay,” an initial tweet from the account reads. “If you’ve completed the requirements for an Achievement, it will eventually unlock. Stay tuned for updates.”

This was followed by a second, slightly more ominous update.

The team is continuing to investigate reports of [Halo Infinite] Achievements not unlocking,” it read. “We will continue to share updates when we have them.

The last update was provided around 16 hours ago at the time of writing. It should also be noted that this Achievement issue seems to be a larger Xbox Live one and not one restricted to Halo Infinite… though likely Infinite’s fault.

Next, 343 advised that Mjolnir Armories found within campaign may not be attributed correctly to a user’s profile if found after using the Xbox’s Quick Resume feature.

When playing [Halo Infinite] campaign you will come across armor lockers that contain cosmetics for your MP Spartan,” 343’s Brian Jarrard wrote. “If you are offline, or disconnected from services – which can occur after Quick Resume – the cosmetics won’t show up in your MP inventory.”

Jarrard later stressed that 343 will implement “a retroactive fix” and that players “will get the cosmetics [you’ve] earned”. For the time being, he suggests fully closing out of Halo Infinite when done for a session and then starting up the game from a closed state rather than Quick Resume next time (something that multiplayer players are likely used to doing).

Halo Infinite is now live on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Check out our Halo Infinite review here or our collectibles guide here.
