Halo Campaign Evolved release date set for 28 July; new missions and special editions detailed

We've got all the info for you, below.

The Halo Campaign Evolved release date has been set for 28 July, Microsoft today detailed alongside a look at three of the title’s new missions and its special editions.

Halo Campaign Evolved release date and new content

“Included with every edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved, Operation: METEORITE is a new three-mission story arc that takes place a year before the events of the first game,” Microsoft said of the new content. “Featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson, this new adventure sends players behind enemy lines in a clandestine UNSC operation aboard a Covenant research vessel. What starts as a simple smash and grab turns more complicated as they encounter more than they bargained for.”

The three new missions are in addition to remastered versions of Halo Combat Evolved‘s original missions. It’s Campaign Evolved because the game isn’t touching multiplayer.

“The game supports cross-play and cross-progression across XBOX Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5, and will be available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass,” Microsoft added.
