Gotham Knights four-player co-op debunked by WB Games Montreal

Two-player co-op is still on the cards.

Update: Gotham Knights will not offer four-player co-op, with WB Games Montreal saying a four-player experience would mean reworking the game from the ground up.

Two-player co-op will be on offer, allowing players the chance to delve deep into fantasties of being in a dynamic duo. Nightwing and Red Hood gameplay was today detailed alongside news the game has been cancelled on Xbox One and PS4.

Original story [9 May 2022]: Gotham Knights four-player co-op seems to be on the cards if a revised listing on the PlayStation Store is to be believed.

As first spotted on RedditGotham Knightsnew listing indicates that the title “supports up to 4 online players with PS Plus.”

The upcoming title from Warner Bros Montreal was originally believed to offer up two-player cooperative play.

If true, this is huge news — and also makes sense, as Gotham Knights has four main protagonists in Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl and the Red Hood.

This latest tidbit comes after reports that Gotham Knights could offer up a beta before launch. We’ll keep you posted on either topic as we learn more.

Gotham Knights is planned for 25 October 2022 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5.
