Ghostbusters Afterlife passes the torch to Egon’s grandkids

The first trailer for Ghostbusters Afterlife was release and passes the ghostbustin’ torch from the original crew to Egon Spengler’s grandchildren.

“From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe,” the trailer’s description reads.

“In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”

Afterlife is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan and stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) Paul Rudd and a majority of Ghostbusters’ original cast including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and more.

Ghostbusters Afterlife heads to theatres around the world in 2020. We’ll have more as information is made available.
