GenerOZity 2018 live marathon will run over PAX AUS

GenerOZity 2018 will run over PAX AUS, the live marathon’s organisers today confirmed.

Set to run over PAX AUS, over 26-28 October, the livestreaming marathon looks to add to the $66,000 AUD it’s already raised for mental health and children in need. This year’s event will be in support of Child’s Play and CheckPoint.

“For 15 years Child’s Play has been supported by community events like GenerOZity.  The money raised during this 2018 PAX Aus extravaganza will help support over a million children in hospitals across the globe,” Travis Eriksen, Executive Producer at Child’s Play said of the endeavour.

“GenerOZity is an incredible event that never fails to inspire me. Over the course of three days, you see content creators from all walks of life all working toward an incredible cause, clearly having a great time, and fostering a sense of social connectivity and community,” Jennifer Hazel of CheckPoint added. “The audience get involved and there’s this really awesome sense of being together even if they are hundreds of miles apart. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds at PAX, and I hope it becomes a staple in everybody’s schedule over the weekend!”

GenerOZity will livestream from the second floor of the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre all weekend and will also be involved in a panel called GenerOZity Presents: Speedrun Everything!, scheduled between 9.30 – 11.30pm AEDT on 27 October.
