The Fornite Second Chance Van has been spotted in the game, like its version of Apex Legends‘ revive system.
Epic hasn’t shied away from borrowing from Apex Legends; already, Fornite is using Apex‘s ping system in Season 8. While players have spotted the Second Chance Van in matches, the revive system doesn’t appear to be active as yet.
Twitter’s FortTory has used the game’s files to find the name of the van alongside references to a card system that will likely be used in the revive mechanic; pick up a fallen player’s card, take it to the Second Chance Van and voila.
It was only last week when Epic said it would like to borrow Apex‘s revive functionality; who would have guessed the ping system would come first? The addition to Fortnite comes as Stevivor was told that Rainbow Six: Siege would like to implement similar functionality.
Fortnite is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android, while Apex Legends is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
