The final Season Pass content for The Last of Us is the “Grounded Bundle”

Naughty Dog has annonced — via the PlayStation Blog — that the final pieces of content included within The Last of Us’ Season Pass will form the “Grounded Bundle.”

The bundle adds a mixture of single and multiplayer content including the titular Grounded Mode which makes the capmaign “near impossible.” Grounded Mode “will be the hardest challenge you’ll ever face as the AI is relentless, smart, and brutal,” writes Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli. He adds, “‘Completed Grounded Mode’ might be one of the most difficult Trophies you’ll ever earn.”

Multiplayer content includes the “Reclaimed Territories Map Pack”, “The Survivalist Weapon Bundle”, the “Situational Survival Skills Bundle” and “Professional Survival Skills Bundle.” The map pack adds Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine, and Water Tower to multiplayer playlists with each map including its own specific Trophies. The weapon bundle includes Specter, Double Barrel, Enforcer, and Launcher while the two skills bundles can augment character attributes and abilities.

The weapon and skills included in the bundles are available to try before you buy as part of pre-set loadouts. If you’re a Season Pass holder you’ll receive all new content for no extra charge. If you’re not a Season Pass holder Grounded Mode will cost $4.99 USD, the “Reclaimed Territories Map Pack” will cost $9.99 USD,  “The Survivalist Weapon Bundle” will cost $5.99 USD and the skills packs will cost $3.99 USD each. Local pricing has not yet been confirmed. The Last of Us’ Season Pass is still available for $29.95 AUD, but will be removed from the PlayStation Store from 13 May. The Season Pass gives access to “Left Behind”, “Abandoned Territories”, the “Grounded Bundle” and additional multiplayer items representing an 80% discount on the cost of individually purchasing the included DLC.

No release date has been announced for the “Grounded Bundle”, but Naughty Dog will be livestreaming content from the new bundle on their Twitch channel 12pm PST 24 April.

The Last of Us is available now for PS3 and a remastered version is coming to PS4 later this year.
