FastStart on Xbox One will help you to play games faster

Fast Start is a new aid that will help gamers play Xbox One titles in the Xbox Game Pass program faster than before, Microsoft today confirmed.

Microsoft described the system as one different from the Ready to Start system. Fast Start uses machine learning to determine which portions of a game players generally will play, and works to obtain those sections of the game first.

The program should get games running two times faster than normal.

“With FastStart, you can now jump into your game twice as fast and play after downloading just a fraction of your title,” Microsoft advised in a press release. “FastStart identifies which files are needed to begin playing and prioritizes the download of those files first, enabling you to quickly jump into full-fidelity gameplay while the remainder of your title downloads in the background. Simply find the FastStart-enabled title you want to play, hit Download and your console will take care of the rest. It’s that simple.”

Fast Start will be included in an Xbox One update coming later this month.
