Fallout 76 beta extended after bug deleted entire 50GB client on PC

After a bug caused some PC users to accidentally delete the entire 50GB Fallout 76 beta client with the single click, Bethesda has decided to extend its test on Friday 2 November, which will now run from 5:00am – 2:00pm AEDT.

Bethesda warned users not to click any button on the PC client to avoid the issue. The publisher took responsibility for the error, and realising it will takes some players a long time to re-download the 50GB trial, announced the extension.

The error only affected PC users, but the time extension has been granted to all platforms.

The remaining Fallout 76 beta times:

  • Friday 2 November: 5am-2pm AEDT
  • Sunday 4 November: 8am-12pm AEDT
  • Tuesday 6 November: 5am-12pm AEDT

Fallout 76 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 20 November.
