Rising Stars is a new women’s League of Legends tourney

Riot's teamed up with GGTech and NUEL to make it happen.

Rising Stars is a new women’s League of Legends Esports tournament coming from Riot Games in partnership with GGTech and NUEL.

“Primarily geared toward participants from the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics,” the tournament will take place over 26-27 November and will be played on LoL‘s EUWest server. A prize pool of £3000 will be offered to participants (who must be 16-years-old or older).

Registration for the event closes on 22 November.

“Riot Games is committed to creating more opportunities for women gamers; Game Changers has been a huge success for Valorant and will continue to expand into other games,” said Riot’s Will Attwood.

“Rising Stars, as a local, standalone tournament, is another example of the work that we and our partners can do to promote diversity and inclusion in the esports community. The fact that we’re also able to support students taking their first professional steps in the industry is the cherry on top.”

Good luck to those participating!
