All the winners from the Modern Warfare 2 ANZ Invitational

Sponsored by Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, streaming now on Prime Video

The Call of Duty MW2 Invitational Sponsored by Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has come and gone, and with it, some explosive action from Australia’s finest Call of Duty streamers, pro players and influencers.

In case you missed all the frags, we’ve got a recap for you below.

The invitational focused on eight teams of four players each, with captains hand-picking their three squadmates from a pool of unrivaled talent. The tournament casters were Miss MDK, Jordan Mays and Ben Green.

Here’s who was teamed with whom:

  • Team Qrissy: Lymax, Setzyy, Jazhn
  • Team Taylor Morgan: Entice, Cronus, Doomed
  • Team GreedZz: GP, Gorou, WinRed
  • Team HMAY: Tommey, Newbz, Teenie
  • Team Vauxie: Fighta, Louqa, Zak
  • Team NoVitals: Fatal, Fatigue, Nathaaan
  • Team Fangetta: Stocka, Mish, Rhein
  • Team Joel Bergs: Hassi, Brqdxn, IP Impact

Broadcast live from the Chiefs Country Club, The ANZ Invitational kicked off with a bang with Team Qrissy showing up Team Taylor Morgan with a strong 2-0 win. Team GreedZz kept the 2-0 train going, quickly wrapping up their own series against Team Hmay to set up a clash with Team Qrissy in the semifinals.

Playing live from the Country Club, Fangetta led her team to victory over the last Invitational’s winners, Team JoelBergs, and advanced to the semifinals to play Team Vauxie. Vauxie and co had put up an impressive run in their opening match against Team NoVitals and the matchup promised to be a banger.

Team GreedZz was too strong for Team Qrissy, with another dominant performance sending the Japan-based squad straight into the finals. There they would meet Team Vauxie, who prevailed in another edge-of-your-seat contest against Team Fangetta, but before they could go head to head for the title, a rogue agent, JackoGFreak, interrupted the show.

JackoGFreak asked all captains to compete in what was called the Rogue Round – taking inspiration from Jack Ryan going rogue in S3. The round was a free-for-all with a $1000 prize to the winner.

The invitational was sponsored by Season 3 of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Watch it here now.

In this warm-up event to the grand final, Qrissy emerged victorious, avenging her earlier knockout in the eight-man lobby before the Grand Final kicked off minutes later.

While Qrissy was certainly chuffed to win single honours, the real star of the show was the final confrontation between Team GreedZz and Team Vauxie. The Grand Final certainly delivered, with an on-paper 3-0 win for Team Vauxie doing the nail-biting series justice. With the win, Team Vauxie claimed the $8000 prize and Team GreedZz earned themselves $4000 for second place. Over 200,000 viewers tuned into the event, with the broadcast holding strong at over 10,000 concurrent viewers for the entirety of the show.

If you’re keen to see some of the action for yourself, have no fear – a handy little recap video, below, has you covered.

The invitational was brought to fans by the third season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, streaming exclusively on Prime Video now. The action-packed series stars John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, Wendell Pierce as James Greer, and Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright. In this new 8-part series, Jack Ryan will crisscross Europe, hunted by former allies and working against the clock to stop a cascade of destabilizing conflicts that could lead to disaster.
