Pyramid Head gets his booty back with new Dead by Daylight patch

Hallelujah!

Pyramid Head will get his ample booty back thanks to a new Dead by Daylight patch.

No, really.

While developer Behaviour Interactive has remained adamant that it never nerfed the Silent Hill killer’s butt in the first place, it’s now “fixed an issue that caused The Executioner’s rear to be too flat,” according to new patch notes for update 5.1.1.

Clarifying the issue with Polygon, Behaviour once again asserted that “Pyramid Head’s behind was never nerfed”.

“This said, we recently found a bug on one of his outfits, The Corrupted,” the developer continued in a provided statement. “The cloth covering his butt had clipping issues which made it well, flat. We fixed it and it will be pushed live in our next update, this Tuesday. I hope that you, and our community agree on the level of roundness.”

The Dead by Daylight community first noticed the nerf outfit bug back in June 2020.

“I can confirm that while our art team did continue to polish Pyramid Head, his butt remained untouched,” Behaviour’s Mathieu Cote said at the time. “The apron covering his body was modified, which might create the illusion that his body was also changed. We leave it up to our players to discuss, at length, whether the change in garment has had a significant impact on his butt and how that will affect his performance as a killer.”

Regardless of what it took to get back to this position, here we are: baby got back once again.

Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Switch; it’s also available through Xbox Game Pass.
